NCL Is the New Princess — or at Least It Plays One on TV by Matt Hannafin Starting Tuesday, April 10, Norwegian Cruise Line becomes (or hopes to become) the “Love Boat” of this decade, acting as the floating venue for a new Lifetime reality series called Love for Sail. The plot: Each week, four “adventurous women” and a group of “equally-eager single men” board an NCL ship (Norwegian Pearl, from the look of things), where two hosts known as ”cruise directors” facilitate the matchmaking. Throughout the cruise, the singles run through the usual rounds of dates, parties, and adventures ashore in ports like Ocho Rios and Nassau. Created by the folks behind Undercover Boss, the show premieres Tuesday at 10pm. I’m half-curious. Not curious enough to watch it in real time, but maybe streaming. We’ll see. www.frommers.com/community/blogs/blog.cfm/cruise-blog/ncl-new-princess-least-plays-one-tvTRAVEL RESERVATIONS LIVE TELEPHONE SUPPORT 24/7 US and Canada: 1-800-780-5733 EU: 00-800-11-20-11-40 phoneid 47909 www.1t23.com
