Follow Disney’s New Ship Across the Atlantic, in Real Time by Matt Hannafin Over the next few weeks, Disney Cruise Line’s newest ship, the 128,000-ton, 2,500-passenger Disney Fantasy, will be making her way from her shipyard in Germany to Port Canaveral, Florida, from which she’ll soon be sailing weeklong Caribbean cruises. On the way, though, Disney is planning some fun: Beginning today, February 16, the line’s website will be airing a video journal of the ship’s trip across the Atlantic. Hosted by “Cruise Directors Brent and Ray,” these videos offer previews of some of the attractions and features on board as well as scenes from the ship’s construction. It’s marketing, sure, but it’s kinda fun — and some of the shipyard footage is pretty great. Videos will be updated every few days over the next three weeks. www.frommers.com/community/blogs/blog.cfm/cruise-blog/follow-disneys-new-ship-across-atlantic-real-time
